The album, which was made up of mostly dance tracks, further enhanced his skills in the production of electronic dance music. He has written music and arranged for projects like Death Threat’s “Still Wanted”, and Avantism Creative’s “Tula” (musical score). He is also known as the music writer, and music arranger for RetroSPECT’s dance hit album “Decade”, and also got the job of arranging music, and doing the score for the stage presentation, “Queen Of Disco: The Musical Journey Of Donna Summer”.
Lately he has been dipping his music hand in the realm of film scoring, composing for such features as the short films “Tula”, and “Liham ng Isang Guro” plus full length independent films “Watawat” and “Musiko”, and a number of indie documentaries. He is currently set to score another film entitled “Makata” in May 2013. Miguel has been conducting seminars on Music Technology and post-production at MAPUA IT center in Makati, and Mapua Institue of Technology Intramuros.

It doesn’t stop with his productions. He continues to deliver his Live PA shows that sets him apart from the lot, as he bangs it out playing originals and his remixes all in a live setting. He also keeps himself busy producing and performing with Sinyma.
He also consistently helps out fellow producers and DJs needing help with music production over at Electronica Manila and thru his 1 on 1 tutorial sessions. Thus, It is no secret that he gives as much as he gets, as a lot of people can attest to how he has helped them grow in their craft. NOEL DE BRACKINGHE aka SALAMANGKERO (Rubber Inc./Sweetspot Studio)
Noel aka the Salamangkero (the Filipino word for Wizard) started DJing sometime around 1996 after discovering jungle during a trip to London. With Manila’s rave scene just taking off clearing dance floors that were just starting to understand house was not unusual. Even though, he became part of the production crew Kinky Sphere renowned for throwing underground jungle parties in strange locations and developing a consistent following. Once the scene really took off if was not uncommon to see him playing in the “other” room alongside artists like Ken Ishii, Pure Science etc.
He is also a member of the pioneering live PA Rubber Inc (http://www.rubberinc.multiply.com/). While pushing the idea of live electronic music in the Philippines, Noel became one of the owners and residents of the small but very influential club Kemistry; the only place in Manila where DJ’s could do whatever they wanted to do. Being a resident meant expanding his sound to everything from Techno, House, Breakbeats, Drum n’ Bass etc.
After moving into more serious production with Rubber Inc., doing strange experiments with Ballet Philippines and The Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra, Noel became a full time record producer working on some of the most respected albums released in the country. With the start of Sweetspot Progressive Audio Solutions, a studio devoted to producing good but commercially questionable bands, his relationship with DJing lost its priority but every 2 years he would come back championing a new sound and developing new disciples. After several trips to Koln and Berlin with Rubber Inc., he has started to move away from the studio curse of working on other people’s music for money and back to self production, Rubber Inc., DJing and a healthy dose of experiments with custom midi controllers and MAX/MSP programming. These days his DJ sets can vary intensely based on venues. He is as comfortable playing Acid Jazz, Funk and Rock as he is playing long Techno sets. Though always with a distinct dose of IDM, psychedelia and other tunes that always works but never seem like they should.
Noel will be conducting the ‘Mixing Dance Music’ workshop at EMEX. Noel will also share knowledge on how to properly master mixtapes and podcasts.

July 3 – 6 (Wed to Sat) – SMX Convention Center Meeting Rooms
This year, EMEX 2013 offers a full program of seminars and workshops that will teach aspiring DJs, music producers, musicians, and music enthusiasts the many facets of the craft. The workshops include product demos, dance music production master classes, DJ lectures, demo listening sessions, and audio technology presentations.
Please check the SCHEDULE page for full information.
Here at EMEX, after a full meal of workshops, we entertain ourselves with performances from Electronic Artists and Vocalists. Since many of us are electronic music producers and DJs, our performers don’t just dish out a tune like what a regular singer does. Instead, you can visually watch the project created by the artist directly from the DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) where it was produced, while the singer performs it in real time. A little confused? Check it out from our Facebook page HERE
Below are this year’s in-between break performers/artists:

Born and raised in Makati, Metro Manila, both Uela’s parents were musicians and had a big influence on her love for singing. When she was 17, she was introduced by Rye (SVC) to music producer Dan Gil, who took notice of her silken raw voice. As a result, the three joined together and the band, Chillitees was born. Uela has represented the Philippines at international music festivals, her most recent being the Golden Melodies Festival in Saigon, Vietnam. She was also handpicked to be a part of Project One, Coke’s Official Summer Band of 2008 with Raymund Marasigan (Eraserheads/Sandwich) as frontman. “I’ve always loved R&B. Soul music is my home,” quips the artist, as we listen to her sweltering, sticky soulful voice on “Bale Wala,” a stellar collabotion track with Paolo Garcia (ill Primitivo). “I wanna give props to my roots but at the same time embrace the new. I want my music to reflect that.” Check out a couple of Uela’s mainstream R&B explorations: Love is What You Do and Before There Was You
